Apple at the Far Out event today launched the new AirPods Pro 2 along with Apple Watch Series 8, Watch SE, and Watch Ultra. The second-generation AirPods Pro 2 comes with the top-of-the-line H2 chip that provides almost 2x noise cancellation compared to the previous model and more.

In terms of look, the new AirPods Pro 2 looks similar to its predecessor, however, there have been a lot of changes and upgrades in the features department. It comes with a new Touch Control feature that allows users to control the volume by swiping up and down. Other than that, it also comes with improved silicon tips which are available in different sizes including the new XS size alongside small, medium, and large.

Spatial Audio
Spatial audio in the second-gen AirPods Pro 2 has been taken to the very next level. It comes with improved personalized spatial audio that uses a TrueDepth camera to create a personal profile for spatial audio based on the size and shape of your head and ears. In addition to that, the “Transparency Mode” now comes with adaptive transparency that reduces environmental noises like construction activity.

Battery
In terms of battery, the AirPods Pro 2 now comes with an improved battery that provides a longer battery span, up to six hours of listening time per charge. This is exactly the same as the third-gen AirPods that were released last year at the Apple WWDC event. The charging case of the new AirPods Pro 2 now offers up to 30 hours of total listening time, compared to 24 hours as its predecessors.

Charging Case
The new charging case of AirPods Pro 2 now also helps you find it using Find Me. It also has an in-built speaker added at the bottom of the case that allows you to listen to your songs at louder volumes. For extra battery, you can charge your AirPods Pro 2 using the Apple Watch charger or MagSafe and Qi-compatible chargers. The case still comes with a lightning connector and also comes integrated with a lanyard loop.

Price and Availability
As for the price and availability, the new AirPods Pro will be available for order this Friday, September 9, with pricing set at $249 in the United States – the same price as the original. The second-generation AirPods Pro will be available on September 23.
