Tim Cook says augmented reality (AR) has a “profound” future; may Apple’s glasses be around the corner?

Users have been eagerly anticipating the release of Apple’s rumored augmented reality glasses for some time now. Apple keeps its secrets close to the chest in Cupertino, but CEO Tim Cook’s recent comments to the BBC have renewed interest.

Additionally, Cook emphasized his enthusiasm for augmented reality. Cook speculated that augmented reality would have a global impact comparable to that of the internet, with users wondering how they ever got by without it. Because I believe that we have had a terrific conversation here today, but it could have been improved upon with the addition of anything from the virtual world. Fun augmented reality capabilities are already available on the iPhone and iPad, but they pale in comparison to what you’ll experience with AR glasses. Most people want to know when this will happen. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts we’ll see a release as soon as January 2023, however some put the date at 2024. We all know that Apple doesn’t release a device until it’s primed to become a market leader.

Cook has already expressed enthusiasm for AR and hinted that Apple is developing AR/VR goods. The first augmented and virtual reality device from the business, a high-end headgear codenamed “Reality Pro,” is anticipated to be revealed in January.
