Just over a year after making Samsung TV Plus available to the public, the company has revealed a redesign of its user interface. The company is also expanding the platform’s availability of premium content, for example, Top Gear, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, NCIS, and others.
For starters, the platform’s cross-device capabilities are reflected in the new blue and orange branding for Samsung TV Plus. Samsung has updated its user interface to match the new logo’s color palette and added a Dark Theme for better contrast.
In the attached image, you can see how the UI for Samsung TV Plus has been updated to resemble that of other well-known streaming services. It features a highlighted program on a banner at the top, followed by a list of recently viewed shows. In addition to a voice command button in the upper right corner, the main menu features a row highlighting the top series available on the service.

Samsung TV Plus Now Has Brand New Programming and Channels
There are now additional episodes of popular shows, including NCIS, Top Gear, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Chicago Fire, and more, available on ION from Scripps Networks.
Furthermore, that’s not all. Two new Samsung-only channels, Samsung Showcase (for concerts, events, and special programming) and Ride or Die (for automotive aficionados), have been added to TV Plus.

New collaboration with A&E will also allow for the production of Nation. There are already more than 50 channels that are owned and run by Samsung, so this is just an addition.
In addition to CBS News, ABC News Live, and NBC News Now, the business intends to introduce more local news and weather coverage channels for consumers in the United States.
In addition, by 2023, Samsung will have doubled the size of its video-on-demand library thanks to new and extended collaborations with studios like Lionsgate and Vice Media.

According to studies conducted within Samsung, Samsung TV Plus is the third most popular OTT app utilized by Samsung Smart TV owners. Over the past year, the number of people watching content on Samsung TV Plus has nearly doubled, with almost 3 billion hours streamed2 by enthusiastic consumers all over the world.
The Popularity of Ad-free Television Is Growing
Viewership of Samsung TV Plus has increased by 100% over the past year, reaching approximately 3 billion hours of streaming on 465 million+ connected devices in 25 countries.
This could be related to the introduction of its online service. The tech firm released Samsung TV Plus on the web in July 2021, making its services available to users of competing devices.
Although traditional movie theater attendance has been on the decline, free ad-supported television (FAST) has been on the rise. Popular examples of FAST providers are Pluto TV, Peacock, Tubi, Freevee, and Roku.
